Book Club: One Day | David Nicholls
Friendship, Love, Laughter & Loss. Get on board the rollercoaster of Emma Morley and Dexter Mayhew’s relationship.
From graduation, the pair form a solid friendship, that to many, may be a mismatch of personalities but they compliment each other perfectly.
Dexter is charming and good-looking, but also lazy, arrogant, selfish and deceitful. Emma is more lovable – cleverer and more honest than Dexter, but prone to stroppiness and self-doubt.
Dex makes it in to the world of media after taking time out and travelling. Emma has moved to London to become a writer and ends up working for a Tex-mex food chain. Writing becomes a chore for a while but Emma finds her voice.

If you’ve not read this book and only watched the film, then pick it up. I couldn’t put it down and I know that this will not be the last time it’s pulled from my shelves, dusted off and read.
What am I planning to read next? This one has been recommended to me by a friend, who also had the book recommended to her (I’m hoping for a good read) Chocolate Girl by Annie Murray.
