Celebrate the Great Outdoors with National Gardening Exercise Day

Did you know that getting your garden in shape will also help you on the same track as well? Today is National Gardening Exercise Day (6th June) so get out your gardening gloves and work up a sweat with the following gardening activities – a few laps of the garden will help you lose a couple of pounds and tone up ready for summer!

30 minutes of digging up soil can help burn 220-250 calories

30 minutes of weeding (goodbye weeds) can help burn 150-180 calories

30 minutes of raking – you can burn between 140-160 calories

30 minutes of watering the garden can burn between 50-100 calories

These activities will not only get your garden looking good, but will also help you to shape up too.
