Read of the Month – Girl, Missing
When Girl, Missing was recommended to me on my Amazon Account, I hadn’t realised it was a book aimed at teens, but I have to say, really enjoyed reading it. After mentioning it to my mum, it turns out she’s read it too!
Girl, Missing was an easy read but had enough detail in it to keep me wanting more.
The story focuses around Lauren; she’s adopted and a school assignment spikes her curiosity to find out where she came from and who her real family is.
After approaching her mum and hitting a bit of a wall, Lauren turns to the internet for answers but her search and adventure offers more than she has bargained for.
The hunt for her biological family does not go smoothly and lands her, her best friend and others in danger.
Sophie McKenzie paints a vivid picture from start to finish. It’s the first time I’ve read one of her books but I’ll definitely be picking another one up.
Our next read is ‘Behind Closed Doors’ by B.A Paris and looking further ahead, we’ll be reading ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ by John Green
